Teriyaki Sauce - Large Batch

Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups water
  • 2 cups soy sauce
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • tbsp ginger fresh, grated
  • tbsp garlic fresh, minced

Method
 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Allow to simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Fill pint jars to 1 1/2” headspace with hot teriyaki sauce.
  5. Wipe rims with vinegar, place lids and tighten finger tight.
  6. Water bath jars for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove jars from bath and allow to cool completely. Once cool, remove rings for storage.

Notes

  • If using powdered ginger and garlic, reduce to half the amount.
